The Abbey of San Galgano is a real magic for the eyes, a construction with a Latin plant, 72 meters long, 21 wide with three naves, wonderful walls and a total absence of roof that makes it even more extraordinary as if embracing at the same time heaven and god. San Galgano was built in 1218 and then abandoned centuries later.
It is also famous for the sword in the stone, the sword embedded in the stone by Galgano Guidotti, symbol of the renunciation of violence and the conversion of the Noble.
