The Water Museum
Siena is rich of Museums of Sacred Art of the ‘300 and ‘400 but there are also wonderful museums as the Water Museum above the Fountain of Pescaia .
The Water Museum presents its guests in a multimedia and audiovisual form the history of the Sienese aqueduct, an engineering-architectural jewel that could transport water directly into the houses of the city , all through a super-articulated system of booties, sources and artifacts.
There were underground aqueducts, tunnels and sources that managed to be channeled in a unique and extraordinary way to meet the needs of every Sienese citizen.
The Museum presents all this in detail and through 10 multimedia installations as well as video projectors, audio systems, senses, monitors and other systems for airing images.
The visit also includes excursions to the loot of the Fonti di Pescaia that will allow you to admire part of this mammoth and extraordinary work.
